South Holston River Lodge is nestled on the banks of the South Holston tailwater & offers some of the finest fly-fishing experiences in the country. Our 14-mile tailwater originates from the South Holston Dam & flows into Boone Lake.

In fact, we are the only all-inclusive Orvis® endorsed fly-fishing lodge in our region that caters specifically to the South Holston & Watauga Tailwaters in Eastern Tennessee.

Lefty, a pioneer in fly-fishing, had many lifetime achievements, including being named Angler of the Year by Fly Rod & Reel magazine, & he was inducted into the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame.
